In the light of the dramatic urge for global transformation across all sectors of societal and global governance, the role of education to enable global leadership was one of the key themes at this conference.
Moderated by WAAS Fellow Mila Popovich, the panel consisted of Nebojša Neškovic, Secretary General, WAAS; Faris Gavrankapetanovic, University of Sarajevo, WAAS Fellow; Asim Kurjak, Sarajevo School of Science and Technology and TRANS4M’s co-founder Alexander Schieffer.
Trans4m’s presentation focused on “Transformative Integral Education for Transformative Global Leadership” along the following four statements:
- Many of today’s educational institutions are not designed to generate transformative global leadership and leaders: Systemic Faultlines
- A Transformation of Education can not only generate Transformative Global Leadership but can be the vital lever for the much required large-scale systems change: Design Principles
- Such innovative Design Principles need to be translated into Learning to Innovation Journey leading to Social Change, on a local and global level: Application Examples
- New Kind of Learning-to-Innovation-Campi for Local Global Leadership are required: The Example of Home for Humanity and the “humanivEARTHity” experiment
