23 October 2020: Ndudzo was awarded a PhD Degree, with an exemplary Research-to-Innovation focusing on African Enterprise Renewal towards an Integral Enterprise
Chipo Ndudzo’s PhD was submitted under the full title of “African Enterprise Renewal towards an Integral Enterprise. The Case of Providence Human Capital, Zimbabwe”. From the outset, Chipo, enrolled in the Trans4m Da Vinci PhD program, involved her staff in working with her in evolving Providence Human Capital into a veritable Integral Enterprise. While the staff participated as a whole in this challenging journey, in particular four team members, the so-called “Chipo Four”, formed the inner “innovation ecosystem”, that supported Chipo to lead Providence towards a remarkable social innovation which resulted in the fundamental transformation of the organisation into a showcase for an African Integral Enterprise.
While the outer enterprise transformation was in the foreground of this PhD, Chipo shares here what the PhD journey did to her on a personal level: “When I started my PhD journey I had no Idea that I would also go on a Process of Holistic Development. My Doctor of Philosophy was meant to be an academic journey and not a spiritual journey at all, but it is because I had no idea that when you work with serial transformers like Ronnie Lessem and Alexander Schieffer you get into another journey that is both academic and spiritual …”.
A large number of Providence’s staff witnessed the graduation “live” on Zoom in the company’s promises in Harare – and celebrated the handover of the PhD Certificate with a dance, symbolizing also how much this PhD journey focussing on African Enterprise Renewal had been a collective one.
The entire global TRANS4M Community congratulates Chipo, the “Chipo Four” and Providence to this outstanding achievement – a true example for collective “unleashing” Human Capital!
