Integral Alternative Dispute Resolution: TRANS4M Fellow Sameer AlAbbadi from Jordan graduates in the Trans4m Da Vinci PhD Program on Integral Development
19 September 2019: Jordanian Arbitrator Sameer AlAbbadi is awarded a PhD in Integral Development, focussing on An Islamic Approach to Justice, Arbitration and Reconciliation.
In his six-year research-to-innovation journey, Sameer AlAbbadi developed a new approach to rapid and low-cost conflict resolution, based on the cultural, philosophical and religious values of his context, Jordan and the Middle East. His research culminated in the establishment of the ICRC Integral Conflict Resolution Center, based in Amman – a center that serves AlAbaddi and his group of local co-researchers and mediation practitioners to continue the research in this field, as well as to establish, disseminate and accelerate a new conflict resolution practice in Jordan.
We congratulate Sameer AlAbbadi to his inspiring achievement, which also contributes strongly to the integral knowledge base in the Middle Easters region and beyond.
